The series Serambi Jazz will enter its second year in 2010, after a successful start in 2009. This program reinvigorates a relationship among German and Indonesian jazz music that has been fostered since 1967. Goal of Serambijazz is that musicians and audience in both countries get to know and understand each other by an exchange of information on cultural backgrounds and the development of jazz music in performances and workshops. For the first time in Asia, world famous visiting artist Theos M.B.Sijrier will be painting a 6 x 2 m canvass to the tunes of live music of the Moko Blues Band. The painting will then be divided into smaller pieces which will be signed and sold on the night. The proceeds from the sales will go towards the disabled children’s unit which is being built at the Sunrise school in Kerobokan.

The first edition of Manhattan Transfer was formed in 1969 by Gene Pistilli, Tim Hauser, Erin Dickins, Marty Nelson, and Pat Rosalia, splitting after one album.
